Dan and Dae are twins I put into a mystery of mine. They both have dark hair, blue eyes and an unending supply of curiosity. This is the prologue to their story:
SWISH, SWISH the bench swing spun, Robyn’s golden hair flew out behind her. The sun was making patterns on her pretty green dress.
“I know you’re there!” Robyn called, still spinning.
“Why can’t I ever hide from you!” a voice said back from behind a Holly bush. A boy of about thirteen stood up from behind bush. He had dark hair, and a big smile.
“You want me to spin you?” he asked coming to lean on the tree’s trunk.
“No” Robyn replied stopping.
“Where are your parents, Luke?” she asked, starting to twist the swing up again.
“Oh, I dunno… probably off with some friends” The swing was twirling out, making Robyn scream with delight.
“Stop the swing!” she cried, her voice scared now. Luke got up and grabbed at the rope, but it wouldn’t stop; it was going to fast to grab onto (without being dragged along).
“Hold on! I can’t stop it! Let me get help!” Luke ran off as fast as he could in search for help. Leaping onto the sunny porch of the Clay’s house (Robyn’s family) he ran inside calling,
“Mrs. Clay! I need help! Robyn’s swing won’t stop!” as he was shouting, he nearly smacked straight into Mr. Clay as he was coming out of his office.
“I’m afraid Mrs. Clay isn’t available; Luke. She’s in the pool” Mr. Clay said.
“Mr. Clay I need you to come stop the swing, quick!” they dashed out only to find that the swing had stopped… but there was no Robyn Clay to be found. The swing was still gently twirling, sending leaves up in a little breeze, but it was completely empty.
“No…” Luke gasped in horror. Walking over he inspected the scene; an empty swing, with a single black speck sitting on it. He picked it up. It looked like a scale, but its texture was all papery, like wax paper.
“Um… Mr. Clay?” Luke turned only to see Mr. Clay had left; gone. Turning back, Luke put the scale up to the sun. It was transparent, but just barely. Knowing that something was terribly wrong, Luke tucked it in his pocket, trudging back to the house; a tear coursed down his face…

SUMMER!
Summer is here! You go shopping for bathing suits, go to friends pools, have tons of time to write, read, draw, get together, have fun with friends, make new friends, go on vacation, and countless other fun things. I think it's totally unfair that Summer is only three months and us kids are stuck with nine months of school... Another fun thing to do is listen to music. Blast it in the car, the best time to do that is on a trip to a vacation :D
My Characters, My worlds
I love writing and creating people and places: reading has really expanded my vocabulary and imagination, especially since i love fiction. On this blog I'm planning to post a chapter of one of my own stories every week, please DO NOT copy my ideas, Thanks!
