Memories.
Isn't thinking about your past summers, or holidays incredibly... satisfying? When i think about all the memories of the many Thanksgivings spent at my Aunts, i love remembering all the fun times like that one year, when we went on a frigidly cold walk, helped my cousin's friend's mother take all her Christmas things down from the attic and 'broke the law' coming home in the bed of my cousin-in-law's truck ... So many memories! And then there's the past summers, like the time we went to my grandparent's pool and i played my first game of 'Pool-ball' kind of a form of pool basketball; and got dunked by my uncle and not being able to breathe for a second. And then there's this past summer, possibly the most memorable of them all. Nightgames at 'The Grove' pool parties and Ultimate Frisbee, sleepover's friends houses and so many jokes and plans made. Well, that was a satisfying post :)

Never Grow Up
"Take pictures in your mind of your childhood room
Memorize what is sounded like what your dad gets home
Remember the footsteps, remember the words said
And all your little brother's favorite songs
I just realized everything I had is someday gonna be gone..."
I was listening to this recently and the thought struck me, 'wow, this song is right, someday, everything we know meaning, our house, our family and all our belongings will all go away, disappear. So i just thought, how much we need to really go out and live life to the fullest, like go out and be bold, because someday, all these memories will vanish and eventually we will along with them. Lemony Snicket has a quote that goes like this:
"It is a curious thing, the death of a loved one. We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will end up underneath some sheet, never to wake up. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark, and thinking there is one more stair than there is. Your foot falls down, through the air, and there is a sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things."
So, sorry about the solemn post, but that's just what came to my head :)
